The airport in San Vicente is under construction and was originally scheduled to open in December 2010. Due to changes in Government in 2010 the project was discontinued for 2 years and will more likely be completed sometime mid 2013 (DOTC is currently tendering construction works for the landside facilities). When the airport opens it will have a runway of 2 km (expandable to 2.5 km) and will initially be able to accommodate midsize commercial jets such as Boing 737 and Airbus 319 / 320. The distance from the new airport to our property is 12 km.
Following road improvements in Northern Palawan since 2004 the transit time from Puerto Princesa to the property is now 3 hours and from Taytay to the property 1.5 hours.
