I have called Charter Ping-an, who is the one in-charge for the Metrobank Acci Shield Insurance. They have provided me the following steps to cancel:
1) Email email@example.com for your intent to cancel the acci shield.Indicate the following: - Complete name -Coverage of insurance (mine was Personal Accident Insurance with Card Fraud Protection) -Effectivity Date (this can be seen in the letter sent to you by Charter Ping-An) -Reference Number
They have replied and said that it will be forwarded to the account handler. The account handler have informed me that it is now processed for cancellation, and it will take 10 days to process. It is just the 6th day so I still was not able to verify if the processing is successful.
I believe this post is not connected to Metrobank. I stumbled upon this page because I wanna lookup if there are other people like me who was suddenly billed by Metrobank.
I think they are simply scamming cardholders like us. The agent who signed me up said there are no additional charges. I also remember declining one agent because I already have an insurance and health card. Now, they are billing me CREDIT LIFE PLUS, MEDISHIELD PLUS, METRO ACCI SHIELD.
I sent them an email regarding the complaint. I got an auto-reply stating response within 3-5 days. It's already been 9 days. I also sent a follow up but no still no response. I prefer emails as it is documented and clearer than calls.
Anybody here who was successful in cancelling their accounts?

hello to everyone.. i think it's also your fault why you are charge with this kind of program to your credit card.. if you don't want to be charge and enrolled to this kind of program you should be alert and wise.. the problem in here is you say yes to the enrolment of the program.. i'm also enrolled to the program.. their benefits is very useful when my account is being fraud..the amount being used with the other person has been back tome.. thank you axa philippines for the fast service

I called Metrobank's customer service at once and told me to send a letter to firstname.lastname@example.org containing the following details: -Name of insurance policy -Card number -Reason why you are going to cancel it -signature
In my case, I printed the letter, signed it, scanned the letter that I've signed, then sent it to the above email. My insurance policy is already cancelled yesterday since I received a notification from Metrobank. Hope this comment could help.
