The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas announces its " Savings Consciousness Week":
Pursuant to Proclamation No. 380 date May 15, 1994 designating June 30
to July 6 as Savings Consciousness Week, all banking institutions and
their branches are enjoined to undertake during the period such
promotional and publicity-generating activities as advertising, window
and counter displays, streamers, distribution of give-aways, raffles and
similar incentives and devices. BSP hopes that through the observance of Savings Consciousness Week, we
will be able to promote awareness and appreciation of the vital role of
savings in national development of the Philippines.
To unify the campaign, banks are also requested to incorporate the
theme, Pag-Asenso ay Abot-Kamay Kung Pag-limpok ay Bahagi ng Buhay, and
the phrase "Savings Consciousness Week, June 30 to July 6, 2011" in
