IKANO Retail and the local council of Uddevalla had signed a contract on September 17, 2008 for the building of up to 40 000 square meter shopping centre in Torp shopping area, located next to a future IKEA store.
Torp is already one of the biggest shopping areas in Sweden and has an attractive location by the E6 highway. More than 6 million visitors from the Västra Götalands region and from Norway come every year to Torp for shopping. The political majority in Uddevalla also welcomes the deal.
