The Philippine Stock Exchange marks another milestone with the launch of the PSE 2012 BELL Awards for Corporate Governance. As part of its strategic role in capital market development, the PSE actively promotes global corporate governance standards and best practices among all its stakeholders. The Bell Awards is another corporate governance initiative that aims to ensure greater transparency, investor protection and strict enforcement of rules and thus improve the image of the Philippines as a preferred investment destination.
With an objective set of criteria and a distinguished and independent panel of judges, the Bell Awards is intended to recognize publicly listed companies and trading participants adhering to high standards of corporate governance in the country. Covered period for evaluation shall be 2011 until the awarding date.
The awarding ceremony shall be in November 2012. All listed companies and trading participants of the PSE are eligible to join provided they are fully compliant with the criteria and mechanics.
