28th Annual National Convention of The Speech Communication Organization of the Philippines (SCOP), Inc.

The Speech Communication Organization of the Philippines (SCOP), Inc. will hold its 28th Annual National Convention with the theme "The State of Speech Communication Education, Research, and Profession in the Philippines and in the Global Context” on May 2-4, 2013 at La Carmela de Boracay, Boracay Island, Malay, Aklan.
The Convention aims to:
  1. present the situation of speech communication education locally and internationally;
  2. analyze the roles and trends of the field of communication in research and the professions; and
  3. discuss the development and directions of the communication curriculum and literacy for the academe and the society.
The target participants to this Convention are teachers from both public and private elementary and secondary schools.
Participation of both public and private schools shall be subject to the no-disruption-of-classes policy as stipulated in DepEd Order No. 9, s. 2005 entitled "Instituting Measures to Increase Engaged Time-on-Task and Ensuring Compliance Therewith.”
