2013 Zayed Future Energy Prize

The United Arab Emirates through the Zayed Future Energy Prize has been honoring those who have placed a tangible and evident effort in globally advancing renewable energy and sustainable technologies over the past four years. One of the greatest unifying challenges of the world today is the urgency to address climate change, to promote sustainable development and to encourage innovation in renewable energy technologies.
Each year, an individual, organization and a non-governmental organization are recognized for their groundbreaking achievements in developing and deploying solutions to the future energy needs. In line with ensuring that the Prize remains flexible enough to reflect the industry and its growth in 2013, the Zayed Future Energy Prize categories have been segmented to include the following:
  1. Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (US$1.5 Million);
  2. Non-governmental organization (US$1.5 Million);
  3. Lifetime Achievement Award (US$500,000);
  4. Global High School Prize (US$500,000 divided among the five (5) regions – with US$100,000 awarded to each High School from America, Europe, Asia, Africa and Oceania); and
  5. Large Corporation (A recognition award).
The deadline for submission of entries is on July 16, 2012.
