2011 Annual Conference on Child Protection

The Manila Conference on the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect will hold the 2011 Annual Conference entitled Ako Para sa Bata with the theme "Creating Safe and Caring Environments for Children” on December 5-7, 2011 at the SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia, Pasay City. The Conference aims to:

1. define and highlight the different forms of child neglect and end angerment; and
2. present specific solutions to address the issues of safety and neglect in various settings which can be implemented by professionals working with children as well as the parents.
   

The participants to this Conference are pediatricians, school physicians, educators, school administrators and teachers, guidance counselors, social workers, psychologists and psychologists, parents and the policemen/policewomen.
The following are the simultaneous symposia/post-conference workshops:

1. Child Safe Organizations (Reducing Risk for Abuse of Children and Formulating Response Mechanisms);
2. Child Safety in Public Places (Injury Prevention in Public and Play Spaces); and
3. Creating a Caring School Environment (Responding to Violence in the School).
   

Each delegate shall be charged a registration fee of Two Thousand Five Hundred Pesos (PhP2,500.00 until November 15 only. After which regular fees of PhP3,000.00) per delegate will be charged on site for the Conference on December 5-6, 2011. This fee covers the following:

• Two-day delegate pass to all plenary sessions;
• Two-day delegate pass to any symposia;
• Conference kit;
• Meals for two (2) days;
• Certificate of attendance; and
• Complimentary pass to the Fellowship Night on December 6, 2011
