From 7:00 to 9:00 a.m. on October 26, 2012, the People’s Television Network, Inc. (PTVNI) Channel 4 will be airing the Individual Country Competition where the Philippine National Team won First Place in the 5th ASEAN Quiz Regional Competition held on August 1-5, 2012 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The two (2) other top winners are Cambodia (2nd Place) and Thailand (3rd Place).
The Competition aims to elicit the spirit of healthy competition among ASEAN youth in a friendly quiz game that exposes them to history, social, cultural, political, and economic developments in the ASEAN Region.
ASEAN Quiz is a bi-annual project of the ASEAN Committee on Culture and Information (COCI) which is implemented in cooperation with ASEAN member countries. It is a competition on knowledge of the ASEAN participated in by outstanding students from public and private high schools in the ten (10) ASEAN member countries.
