The University of the Philippines (UP)-Economics Society (UP-ECOSOC) and the UP-School of Economics Student Council (UP-SESC) will hold the 9th National Youth Congress (NYC) on August 31, 2012, Friday, from 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m., and September 1, 2012, Saturday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the GT Toyota Asian Cultural Center Auditorium, UP Diliman, Quezon City.
The Congress aims to: - give high school students an engaging introduction to the field of economics;
- make them aware of the current developmental issues facing the Philippine society; and
- broaden their perspectives on the topic of economic development as a whole.
The target participants to this activity are high school students from both public and private school nationwide.
