Activities of the College Editors Guild of the Philippines (CEGP)

The College Editors Guild of the Philippines (CEGP) will conduct its Different Activities on October 22-26, 2013 at the Baluarte, Vigan, Ilocos Sur as follows:

1. Lundugan 2013
  • To develop the journalism and literature skills of the Filipino youth and likewise raise their social and political awareness.
  • To provide a venue for student-journalist and aspiring writers to share opinions and experiences with one another and educate them on the significance of responsible journalism and writing for the people
College and secondary school students, amateurs and budding writers
2. 12th Ammoyo Congress (CEGP Ilocos-La Union Congress)
  • To unite campus publications across the provinces of La Union, Ilocos Sur and Ilocos Norte for press freedom and pro-people journalism
Media practitioners and luminaries of the Philippine Literature
3. 36th CEGP-National Capital Region (NCR) Congress
  • To assist the High School Editors Guild of the Philippines (HSEGP) in various undertakings, until it is deemed that the former could stand up and organize member publications on its own.
Secondary school students

Participation of both public and private schools shall be subject to the no-disruption-of¬classes policy as stipulated in DepEd Order No. 9, s. 2005 entitled Instituting Measures to Increase Engaged Time-on-Task and Ensuring Compliance Therewith.
