First National Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) Convention

The Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) Philippines, Inc. will hold its First National TESOL Convention with the theme "Re-Designing TESOL in the Philippines” on October 11-12, 2012 at the Hotel Supreme Convention Plaza, Baguio City.
The Convention aims to:
  1. review and evaluate past and current practices in teaching the English language in the Philippines;
  2. identify the challenges the Filipino Educator faces as they teaches the "Global Student” and the "Net Generation”;
  3. present new ways of learning and teaching the English language – proposing the TESOL Way to achieve maximum learning/teaching outcomes;
  4. build the new Filipino English teacher’s image: a model for Asian Educators and a Global Leader in English Language Teaching to non-English speaking people/nations
  5. fuel them with passion to stay in the World’s Noblest Profession, and to influence their students to go beyond their teachers’ accomplishments; and
  6. equip them with new skills, resources and actual relevant experiences to become confident and competent in English language.
The target participants to this activity are professors, researchers, teacher educators, English language specialists and TESOL professionals.
