We would like to invite you, our dear partner schools to please send your teachers and students to attend the IBON's Midyear Birdtalk on July 13, 2012 at the University of the Philippines, Diliman, Balay Internasyunal (formerly, UP Balay Kalinaw) at 1:00-5:00pm.
The Midyear Birdtalk is IBON's semi-annual briefing of the country's economic and political situation, trends and prospects. This year's Birdtalk will feature IBON's latest data and analysis on real condition of the people in the last six months as well as provide important flash points in the coming months, post-Corona impeachment and leading up to the May 2013 midterm elections. It is our hope that the Midyear Birdtalk will be our contribution to the many educational sessions that will take place as the country prepares for the State of the Nation Address of President Aquino on July 24, 2012.
IBON believes that in promoting transformative education, exposing our teachers to the social realities will build their awareness and commitment to develop students who are not only aware but are critical agents for social change. We hope that through our partnership, IBON can continue providing you with latest information and analysis that
will supplement the teaching of Araling Panlipunan/Social Studies among elementary and high school students.
