The Seminar-Workshop aims to:
- deepen awareness and understanding of the importance of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in the Philippines, its preservation and protection particularly the Puerto Princesa Underground River and Tubbataha Reefs, Historic Town of Vigan, Baroque Churches and Ifugao Rice Terraces;
- showcase outstanding youth skills needed to promote, protect and preserve the UNESCO World Heritage Sites using social media as a platform;
- promote national and community-based collaboration across all sectors and levels to improve heritage preservation using the social media; and
- develop a social media platform like blogs, websites and facebook among the participants with their own articles, photographs, videos that can be use to further networking and exchange of projects.
The target participants to this activity are two hundred (200) youth leaders, campus journalists, young photographers, bloggers, SK leaders and local government executives in-charge of youth, arts and culture, one hundred (100) officers and members of accredited UNESCO Clubs in the Philippines including their advisers, 100 in Ifugao, 100 in Vigan and 100 in Ilocos.
