  4. Gain knowledge on basic principles of conditioning and learning, including reinforcement theory, stimulus control, and aversive control

  1. Translate the present level of performance (PLOP) of the child into SMART IEP
  2. Develop research-based behaviour intervention plans (BIPs) to reduce problem behaviours in children by integrating the application of ABA-based techniques

  3. Experience how to implement the six (6) phases of PECS with actual hands-on experience with a child with autism
  4. Learn the application of DTT using PECS

Treatment and Education of Autistic and Communication Handicapped Children (TEACCH)
  1. Learn the principles and influences of TEACHH, predictability, collaboration with parents, assessments, and communication
  2. Develop an individualized person-and-family centered plan for each student rather than using a standard curriculum
  3. Learn how to use visual supports to make the sequence of daily activities predictable and understandable
  4. Gain knowledge of TEACCH program for classroom organization, physical structure, curriculum, teaching and care
The target participants to this activity are the principals/school administrators, guidance counselors, regular classroom teachers, special education (SPED) teachers, teacher aides, psychologists and other related service professionals from both public and private schools.
