The activity is designed to enrich science teachers across all levels with teaching techniques and strategies geared towards practical understanding of science in line with the Understanding by Design (UbD) framework. Specifically, the aim of the seminar-workshop is to enable the participants to develop a Unit plan incorporating the various activities for practical demonstration of science in life. At the end of this activity, the participants are expected to:
- design a lesson maximizing the available resources in the teaching of science; and
- plan various activities for the students to do inside and outside the classroom centered on a common theme.
The trainers and facilitators invited to these seminar-workshops are experts from De La Salle University (DLSU)-Manila, University of the Philippines (UP)-Diliman, Philippine Normal University (PNU)-Manila, among others.
