The 5th National Congress of the Department of Education-National
Employees Union (DepEd-NEU) scheduled on December 13-15, 2011 at the
Teachers Camp, Baguio City was announced in DepEd Memorandum No. 264, s.
2011.
To achieve the objective to contribute to the improvement of agency performance by rationalizing service delivery and support system and to have a wider scope of participants to this forthcoming Congress, this Department authorizes the participation of the district and school administrative officers (AOs) who are germane to planning activities and on-going consultations on the Rationalization Plan/Program at the district and school levels. Paragraph 8 of the said DepEd Memorandum is clarified as follows: "Planning Officers who are members of the different working committees, or who are Regional Chapter Presidents and members of the National Executive Committee shall be considered participants and shall pay the registration fee. They are authorized to travel two (2) days before the congress for the necessary preparation."
