Being at the forefront in the discharge of the corruption prevention and public assistance functions of the Office of the Ombudsman, and guided by the principles that a public office is a public trust, you shall serve as exemplars in upholding the highest standards of honesty and integrity in the performance of your duties. Likewise, you shall at all times protect the honor and dignity of the Office of the Ombudsman and the people's confidence in it in your respective Client / Host Agencies. Hence you are hereby strictly prohibited from receiving any allowances, bonuses, Christmas gift cheques, grocery items or other emoluments as a form of fringe benefits or additional compensation from your Client/Host Agencies.
