Training on DORP-YEM Implementation and Integration of All CFSS-YEM Activities to School Improvement Plans (SIPs)

In line with the Global Education for All (EFA) Report 2010 recommendation to develop more inclusive approaches and wider strategies for protecting population and overcoming inequality, the Bureau of Secondary Education (BSE), in partnership with the United Nations Children Education Fund (UNICEF), shall conduct Training on DORP-YEM (Dropout Reduction Program-Youth Employment and Migration) Implementation on April 25-28, 2011 at the Tagaytay Haven Hotel, Tagaytay City, and the Training on Integration of All CFSS-YEM (Child-Friendly School System-Youth Employment Migration) Activities to SIPs (School Improvement Plans) on April 26-30, 2011 at a venue to be announced later. Basically, these two-pronged activities aim to ensure quality implementation of the above mentioned programs.

The participants to these activities are school heads and teachers whose names are listed in Enclosure Nos. 1 and 2. The participants are advised to bring their School Improvement Plans (SIPs) and School Report Cards (SRCs) from SYs 2008-2009 to 2010-2011 (3 school years). Likewise, they are encouraged to bring their own laptops.

Board and lodging, supplies and materials, traveling expenses, computer and internet rentals (in selected sessions), professional fees of resource persons and other incidental expenses related to the conduct of these activities shall be charged against UNICEF-YEM funds to be transferred to this Department, subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations.
