The Technical Service-Information and Communication Technology Unit
(TS-ICTU) in cooperation with the Bureau of Alternative Learning System
(BALS) is now ready to implement the DepEd Computerization Program (DCP)
for 803 Mobile Teachers, Batch 11.
The Department of Education (DepEd) Computerization Program (DCP) aims to provide appropriate technologies that would enhance the teaching-learning process and meet the challenges of the 21st Century, not only to public school teachers but also to the mobile teachers of the Alternative Learning System (ALS) as well. The Batch 11 of mobile teachers shall be provided with their laptop units including software programs such as operating system, productivity tools and digital learning resources to be used as tools for effective teaching-learning process. The BALS has prepared the initial list of recipient mobile teachers who were chosen based on the following criteria: - must have at least two (2) years experience as a mobile teacher;
- must be computer literate; and
- must have regularly submitted Management Information System (MIS) data.
- The recipient mobile teachers shall be notified by this Bureau on the
turnover of their units. A Memorandum for the orientation to be
conducted by the BALS and TS-ICTU for these recipient teachers shall be
