This is to provide the field offices with a uniform basis on the
computation of the Proportional Vacation Pay ( PVP) entitled to each of
the public elementary and secondary school teachers under the teachers
leave basis.
Teachers who have continuous services for the School Year 2010-2011, from June 15, 2010 to April 8, 2011, shall be entitled to 74 days total PVP earned from summer and Christmas vacation days, computed as follows: Total no. of days served from June 15, 2010 to April 8, 2010
| = 298 days
| Less: No. of Christmas vacation days earned from December 18, 2010 to January 2, 2011
| = -16 days
| Actual days served
| = 282 days
| Multiply factor
| x 0.262 | Total PVP earned from the no. of summer and Christmas vacation days
| = 74 days
| Less: No. of Christmas vacation days
| = -16 days
| No. of the summer vacation days earned from April 9 to June 5, 2011
| = 58 days
|
Factor 0.262 shall be used for the computation of absences and PVP this school year. Below is the derivation of factor 0.262. No. of summer vacation days
| = 58 days
| Add: No. of Christmas vacation days
| = +16 days
| Total PVP (Summer and Christmas vacation days)
| = 74 days
| Divided by actual days served
| = 282 days
| Multiply factor
| = 0.262
