With the theme: Early Intervention Beyond Boundaries, the Conference aims to:
- revisit and assess existing programs on early intervention for children with special needs in disadvantaged and vulnerable communities;
- introduce to the participants current trends and researches in early intervention;
- equip them with knowledge on the preparation and implementation of Individualized Family Support Program (IFSP) and Individualized Education Plan (IEP); and
- adopt inclusive education in early education.
The target participants to this activity are the Special Education teachers, kindergarten teachers, administrators/school heads, division and regional supervisors, day care workers, municipal and social welfare development officers, advocates from both public and private sectors. Attendance to this activity is on official business.
A registration fee of Five Thousand Five Hundred Pesos (PhP5,500.00) shall be charged each participant to cover board and lodging, conference kit, handouts, certificate, honoraria of the resource speakers, supplies and materials, and other related expenses.
The first meal to be served will be dinner of October 26 and the last meal will be afternoon snacks of October 29, 2012.
