The National Chess Federation of the Philippines (NCFP) in partnership with the Provincial Government of Pangasinan will hold the First Primary and Secondary Schools Chess Team and Individual Championships at the Narciso Ramos Sports and Civic Center, Lingayen, Pangasinan from November 27 to December 3, 2012.
The Tournament is open to all elementary and secondary students of both public and private schools nationwide, who are members in good standing of the NCFP. Winners of this tournament will earn the right to represent the country to the Asian Schools Chess Championships in New Delhi, India on December 13-18, 2012.
The tournament guidelines/rules and regulations can be downloaded at the NCFP website: www.ncf-phil.org. Participation of both public and private schools shall be subject to the no-disruption-of-classes policy as stipulated in DepEd Order No. 9, s. 2005 entitled Instituting Measures to Increase Engaged Time-on-Task and Ensuring Compliance Therewith.
