International Conference on Prepared TVET Educators for the Next Generation (Next Gen Educon 2011)

The Colombo Plan Staff College (CPSC) for Technician Education will hold the International Conference on Prepared TVET Educators for the Next Generation also known as the Next Gen Educon 2011 on December 12-13, 2011 at the Grand Millenium Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The exact venue will be announced. The Conference aims to:

1. make the participants appreciate the significance of global challenges in the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Educators’ Development;
2. examine the emerging issues and challenges in TVET in training and developing educators;
3. share innovative concepts and models in TVET Educators’ training and development; and
4. promote best practices and approaches in TVET Educators’ Development through cross-sharing of experiences.
   

The participants to this event are policy makers, senior administrators, decision makers, educators, lecturers/teachers, representative of non-government organizations (NGOs) and civil society to exchange and share their experiences, research result, creative ideas, innovations and new initiatives about aspects of TVET Educators’ training and development and discuss practical models, frameworks and best practices including recommendations and solutions adopted.

Each participant will be charged the registration fee of One Hundred Fifty US Dollars (US$150) for the two (2)-day conference to cover lunch, am/pm snacks, and conference materials. Accommodation and airfare are on the account of sponsoring agency/participants.
