Special Education and Advocacy Film Screening of the Movie, "A Special Symphony"

The Starlink Asia in Indonesia, and its releasing partner Starlink Distribution Network Inc. (SDNI) in the Philippines, with the Autism Society of the Philippines (ASP) as the beneficiary partner, invite the students from both public and private schools and the public to patronize the special educational and advocacy film screening of the movie, "A Special Symphony." This is a tribute to special children. It depicts the essence and appreciation of their talents amidst their disabilities and how music serves as an effective therapy to them. The movie aims to:

1. educate the students, out-of-school youth, and the general public of the special children's special needs; and
2. help them to fully understand the situation of these children and their role in the society.

The Starlink Asia, distributor of the movie, emphasizes its relevance to subject areas such as Psychology, Sociology, Humanities, Values Education, Social Development, Special Education for Children, Health Sciences (mental health), Physical Education (health) and Child Development.

The target audience are the elementary pupils (Grades 4-6), high school students (first year-fourth year) and college students in all levels, and employees in various industries (call centers, insurance companies, factories, government and private companies).

On each film showing, an awareness information campaign for children with special needs shall be conducted. The NGOs, ASP, and company officers shall provide brief talk on awareness about autism and other special syndromes.
The movie stars Filipino actor and singer Christian Bautista. This film will be shown on a school tour nationwide.
