Rustom Cariño Padilla (born September 4, 1967) used to be a macho guy and action star in Philippine movies. He married Carmina Villaroel not until year 2002 when he spoke of his new sexual preference. In 2002, their marriage was annulled. Rustom transformed himself into a gay (she). He is now popularly known as BB Gandanghari.

Rustom Padilla gains respect from the gay population. Almost all gays in the Philippines are proud of her sexual changes.
Her brother, Robin Padilla fully accepts whatever her new identity. Robin said in the ABS-CBN interview:
"Importante masaya ang kapatid natin. May sarili na siyang pag-iisip. Ayoko naman ng meron nga tayong nagpapakalalaking kapatid, malungkot naman..." (What is important is my brother to be happy. He's old enough to know what he wants. I wouldn't want my brother to lie to himself and act manly, when doing so makes him unhappy...)
Recently, she wants to go back working here in the Philippines as an actress. She won't mind if ever she'll be working together with Carmina Villaroel on the same project.
In a Yahoo article, when she has been asked, "What will her first sentence be upon seeing Carmina? BB Gandanghari replied, "Hi, I'm BB, I've heard so much about you,"
