This is a stunning antique doll that was made by the reknowned firm of SFBJ (Societe Francaise de Fabrication de Bebes & Jouets, Paris). She is a mold number 60 and clearly marked on the back of her head. She would date to around 1919 or thereabouts as this mold was made towards the end of WW1. She is a lovely cabinet sized doll and stands at just over 14"" in height. Her bisque socket head is free of damage and she has her original stunning dark brown stationary glass eyes and delicately stroked upper and lower eyelashes as well as the usual accent dots. She has an open mouth with her 4 little upper teeth. Her wig is a replacement vintage Kemper darker blonde mohair wig and her cardboard pate appears to be a vintage replacement. The wig and pate will need to be secured with PVA glue as I have left them loose to stuff the head to protect the eyes & plaster in transit. She is on her original composition French body that is in lovely condition and strung well and there are only very minor chips. Her beautiful reproduction frock is made from pale pink silk with lace on the bodice, around the cuffs and the hem of the frock. There is a pink ribbon on the dropped waist that ties at the back. She also has lace stockings and lovely slip on shoes with embellishements. She also has a petticoat but no underwear. This doll is very cheap for a beautiful French doll and she is ready to display.
