Can the hard drive be replaced?

Reviews have said the SP has an msata drive. Has anyone opened up their unit and seen if it is replaceable? It would be really nice to replace the 64gb with a 256gb

"Don't worry guys, you won't have to take apart your Surface Pros in order to find out if the SSD is replaceable. We did the hard work and found out that yes, the SSD is replaceable, but opening the Surface Pro is terrible.

Here is a shot of the actual SSD found in the Surface Pro:

From the teardown: ""The Micron RealSSD C400 packs 64 GB of storage capacity. It can read 500MB/s and write 95 MB/s — all in a tiny 1.8"" form factor."""

"Check out the tear down - Step 21

""The SSD is removable — but you risk killing your tablet by trying to open it.""

So the answer is yes but it would be extremely difficult.

It would be better to spend the extra money and get the 128 GB version then suppliment that with a 64 GB microSD card"

"I have replaced the SSD in my 64GB Surface Pro. It has been an adventure and I'm still having trouble with the 256GB SSD. I'm hopping to have Win8 reinstalled sometime today. You can see pictues and follow my findings on the Microsoft forum at tabletpcreview in the thread ""Anyone try opening up there pro yet""

Is there a certain temperature we have to set the heat gun to? When trying to remove the cover?
