Does the iWatch S3 Cellular screen work for a GPS only watch?

Does the iWatch S3 Cellular screen work for a GPS only watch? I have an Apple Watch S3 GPS that I managed to buy for about 20 dollars, and I’ve tested it with a GPS screen so I know its functioning. I can get the screen with cellular for about 30 dollars less than the GPS only screen, but I’m wondering if it will work.

I replaced my watch gps screen with a cellular screen it worked but I couldn’t do a password reset by pressing down the power button
