Doesn't recognize fully charged battery

Doesn't recognize fully charged battery the camera does not recognize fully charged batteries. I have purchased a replacement battery thinking that the battery may have been the problem, but the camera does not recognize either. Even with two fully charged batteries I am unable to take a photo.

The model I had ended up having a recall if the battery contact point. Sent it in and canon sent me a replacement camera.
