How do I shrink an Extended Partition in Vista?

How do I shrink an Extended Partition in Vista? I'm trying to shrink some partitions on my laptop so I can dual boot another OS, and I need about 6GB of space to do this.

I only rarely use it, but it seems like something that GParted could do from the Live CD. It may even be specifically addressed in http://gparted.sourceforge.net/larry/resize/resizing.htm
