Is it possible to enable RAID 1 without reinstalling Windows?

I have MSI K9NBPM2-FID motherboard, one 500 GB SATA II hard drive and Windows XP. I would like to purchase a second HDD, and enable RAID mirroring in BIOS. I have two questions:
