The above tutorial is detailed and idiotproof (idiot resistant I should say, in disclaimer-ese), with lots of photos and pointers.

I suggest to anyone taking apart their cameras, especially any digital camera (not including digital mechanism film cameras like the Nikon f5), to buy a negative ion generator aka ionizer for about $10-15USD on ebay. Just plug it into appropriate voltage and knock all the dust out of the air. They are silent, low power, and totally safe. Do not buy one attached to a complex air filter with fans and UV and HEPA filter, although HEPA filters do help remove airborne dust from a room also. I suggest the small (1x1x0.75 inch) one festooned with 3 to 5 wires about 4"" long. There are 2 power wires and ""paintbrush"" wire[s] which generate the negative ions. These are great to have in any interior space since they improve air quality."
