iTunes Error 3 iPhone can't restore

iTunes Error 3 iPhone can't restore

Hello, I have a problem with my iphone 5 CDMA. I tore my Audio control & Power button flex cable, and I just put it back together, and now I have no service...so I entered my phone into DFU mode and now it can't recover. It gets to a little bit half way and then on iTunes I get Error (3)??? Do I have to get a new cable or what? Please help I've replaced the power button already.

"Hi there as far as I no there isn't a fix for this and it's hardware issue.

If it's still in warrenty go and get a replacement.

You can check out information here https://discussions.apple.com/thread/537...

There's plenty of cases to read about on here and some success story's on how to get around it involving puting phone in the freezer I'm not 1 for doing that but if phones out of warrenty and it's basically a brick then there's no harm in trying.

Hope u get it sorted"

Freezer Trick worked!!! I put in there for about 20 minutes in a zip lock bag and it ran straight through!!!

"Thanks, Con

But do you think just getting out of it would me fine?...Like Hold the Power&Home buttons, and get a new cable as well?....if not I'd just have to buy a new phone:( thanks again for taking the time and replying my answer."

My phone is 20 days old and stuck in this mode. I've done everything that chat and telecom support could offer....reinstalled itunes, switched laptops, pressed home and lock button several times...now the phone is just stuck in recovery mode. I purchased it from Dubai while I was on a vacation. Apparently Apple's policy include no international warranty.....

Put it in the freezer for 40 minutes. Take it out, plug it into your computer and restore through iTunes. I did it with an iPhone 5 that I was having error 3 with and it worked. The iPhone was not reading the SIM, unless I reset the date and time to an earlier date under settings. I found this answer from Kenneth Young in this thread
