on/off button will not stay on comes right back

on/off button will not stay on comes right back

my camera is new and when i turn it on the lense comes out and comes right back in..will not stay out. the on/off button is recessed and will not come back up when pushed down...would like to get it fixed ..i really like the camera and it's functions.. nis it worth fixing ? Can it be fixed and where ???
