OS X Snow Leopard 10.6: Will My 32-bit App Run Faster?

OS X Snow Leopard 10.6: Will My 32-bit App Run Faster? The only program that I really top out my processor with (using 10.5.7) is Ableton Live 8.04. Some users have reported massive performance increases with OS X 10.6. However, the Ableton website says:

"The performance increase is likely due to Grand Central Dispatch and/or the other speed improvements in Snow Leopard. I know nothing about Ableton Live, but if it does a lot of parallel computing, it will see a very nice performance boost, and if not, maybe only a minor one. However, I don't see what it has to do with it being a 32-bit application.

Edit: Since it supports neither GCD nor OpenCL, I can't see why there would be a speed increase at all, if it's a 32-bit application."
