Screen lights up but no picture, phone works but screen is black Had a broken home button which I've just replaced today but after reassembly the phone appears to be dead when power button is pressed.

Sorry to be the one with the bad news Zeruel but your going to need a new front screen assembly, you either flexed your LCD while prying it from the mid frame and damaged it or damaged your LCD-Digitizer ribbon cables assembling it, its real easy to do, good luck.

Mitch: I’m having the same issue, despite getting a new screen. Is it possible the screen is faulty/I damaged it during installation? Or could it be the connection point with the rest of the phone?
