The flash is not working. What could have gone wrong?

The flash is not working. What could have gone wrong?

The camera worked great! Then the flash quit working. I have tried to turn it on but can not get it to work. All pictures are dark and I obviously should be getting a flash. Is it a component problem or a setting in the phone?
