When I try to take a photo I only hear repeating beeping. What does repeated beeping noise mean when I press down to take a photo? I cannot find my manual. Please help.

"The camera will beep when the autofocus locks on (achieves focus).

If you don't want the camera to beep at you, you can disable the beep in the camera's menu:

Press the MENU buttonUse the < or > (arrow) keys to select the first tabUse the DOWN arrow key or the wheel to select the Beep item and press the SET buttonUse the UP or DOWN arrow keys or the wheel to select Off and press the SET button.Push the shutter button halfway to exit the menu. You're done.
