White Vertical Lines on the screen

White Vertical Lines on the screen

My iPad was given to me last summer of 2014. Today, its been 3 years and still alive. No dents, or even a crack. But then last month when I woke up, the screen of my iPad just had some vertical white lines all over the screen! I don't know what to do. It just doesn't go away. When I use it in full brightness then make the iPad so hot, I lock it and open it up and the white lines are gone but when the iPad cools down and I would put down the brightness, the white lines would flash back again. What do I do now? Is it an LCD issue? I just recently bought a replacement LCD from iFixit and its on its way. I wish that would solve the problem.

one problem may be the lcd or lcd connecter so you should probably. replace the lcd

"I notice that with my iPad it is an intermittent fault. It goes away when I put it to sleep with the button but not if I close its magnetic case.

Wouldn’t an LCD fault be there all the time?

Would the magnetic flap on the case do anything?

I have seen this problem all over the web without a verified answer, which usually means we don’t know.

Interesting."

Hi guys! OP here. To those who were wondering what happened to my iPad mini, I actully got it repaired and replaced the lcd. After all that, it was back to normal but I then proceed to sell it and bought the new 6th gen iPad.

I found about the same thing. Once the lines disappear by turning it off and on again, sometimes several times until lines disappear, plug in the power supply and leave it on. If ines come back, back off and on again. Have worked all day with no lines.
