Why does my computer say disk read error occured. Press ctrl alt del My computer goes to the gateway screen then a black screen that says a disk read error has occurred press ctrl alt del to restart. But when I press ctrl alt del it does the same thing and there is no disk

Most likely your drive has boot sector errors. Unless you’ve got a tech that can determine the salvagability of your drive, I’d set your non-booting drive to the side as a backup data drive, reload your OS on a new drive, and try to glean any data (pics, docs, etc..) off the old one.
