Why is my screen stuck on the red battery charge screen?

i took my iphone apart to make a repair to the plastic cover. i put everything back together and it was working just fine, but later the same day it died and sense then the only thing that comes up on the screen is the red battery charging sign when i plug it in.

"Did you replace the battery? If so - try reinstalling the original battery. There are more poor quality batteries available than original high quality.

If the battery symbol appears with the lightening bar underneath this means that the dock connector appears to be ok but if replacing the battery doesn't work it'd be worth trying a new dock connector."

This iphone issue is absolute garbage. Its issues like these that make me wish that iphones weren't so popular. Basically what happens when your iphone dies is the battery disconnects a circuit to prevent the low voltage from damaging the phone or the battery in its entirety. This issue can be fixed by heating up the battery to a temp which increases the voltage enough to actually charge the phone. (not trolling.. this is such a b/s problem) What I do when (not if) this happens is, I put my phone on top of the toaster until my phone gets hot. From there I am able to actually charge the battery.

"There is a good chance that the housing assembly you bought has been sitting in numerous warehouses for the last several years. There is a good chance that the battery dried out.

If you got a voltmeter, you can check the voltage on the pins. Should be around 3.8 volts dc or so, with the left pin being ground. If you plug in the charger and measure, you should see the voltage going up if it is low.. If it stays the same, the battery won't hold a charge, and a replacement battery is needed...

The first thing I change on any iphone or ipod that won't turn on or charge is the battery"

I tried to reprogram my iphone since I accidentally reset all my settings and got stuck on the apple logo. I browsed the internet for solutions. Pressing the sleep/wake button with the home button together didn't help at all. i tried connecting it to my laptop, fonepaw iphone recovery tool was able to detect it and it said the iphone should restart to i clicked on restart, then it got back stuck with the apple logo. Now i realized the battery is empty so i had to charge it..overnight but still no effect. after charging it overnight, it got stuck with the red battery sign and apple logo wont appear anymore. what will i do? is my iphone dead? i changed the USB cable three times already and even bought a new one but it still didnt charge it. help pleas
