Windows 7 (32bit) not adding favorites to Windows Explorer

Windows 7 (32bit) not adding favorites to Windows Explorer I am attempting to add several locations on my disk to my "Favorites" in Windows Explorer. I have used this feature in the 64bit version of Windows 7 without a problem, but it does not seem to work in this install. Here is my methodology so far.

"The way I did it was to:

Navigate to C:\Users\<user>\Links
Create shortcuts in there

They appear to be sorted by last-modified in the Favorites list."

"and easy way is to go to windows explorer,
then C:\users(name)
click on 'favorites'
then right click for 'properties'
then at bottom for attributes: unclick 'hidden' and apply
then popup asks for all folders and subfolders, click yes
and apply, OK
all folders correctly show under favorites."
