Won't power on, no lights will come on at all.

Won't power on, no lights will come on at all. My boyfriend was working on my laptop and it suddenly shut off, it just cut out. If I try to turn it on again nothing at all happens, no lights, no fan noise. I also tried pulling the battery and plugging the ac in, still nothing. I really need to get this laptop going again.

"Typically when that happens , it's usually the internal battery , it seems as though you have taken the proper procedures , so yes , time for a new battery.

One more idea , is to see if the DC cable socket is not disconnected to the logic board, this is common when repairing laptops."
