Dyson DC41 ball fell off ... cover and nut still attached

Hi - the ball fell off on the non-filter side of the vacuum. I do not need a replacement ball or cover, as you can see in the photos I have them. The silver part on the inside of the ball “fits” in the circle in the center, but will not stay on.
