Dyson stops after 30 seconds, works after plugged in for 10 seconds

Dyson stops after 30 seconds, works after plugged in for 10 seconds

My Dyson shuts off after about 20 seconds. I put it back on the charger for literally 5 seconds and then it works for a full charge. What do I need to do so that I don’t have to put it back on the charger for 5 seconds anytime I want to use it?
