How do you disconnect the digitizer to motherboard cable for 9612T-LM

How do you disconnect the digitizer to motherboard cable for 9612T-LM Not sure if the circled piece at the end of ribbon can be pried up. Didnt want to break it.

"@abea that looks more like a heatsink and most likely will not come off easy. Post an image that shows the end where the ribbon cable terminates.

@abea that looks a bit odd. Since we cannot identify what connector this ribbon cable has I would remove the EMI shield(? what I previously mistook as a heat shield) and try to get a closer look. It is possible that this is a simple ZIF connector but I’d hate to guess."
