Is the power supply dual voltage?

Is the power supply dual voltage?

As an American living in the UK that has to use transformers for most of my devices I was hoping to see a dual voltage power supply on the XB1. Can anyone shed some light on the brick itself?

"If it's 100 degrees Fahrenheit that's absolutely fine and there is nothing wrong with that, if its 100 degrees Celsius, that's not great but for a high performance gaming laptop, it should be fine. Try turning down your game settings so the laptop doesn't have to work as hard and thus can work at a cooler temperature. If its still at 100 degrees Celsius and you turned down the settings report back here and ill give you other options.

Also, do you hear the fans spinning, and what program are you getting the temperature measurements from?"

They sell adapters to use Xbox 360 Slim and older one to use on the XboxOne so i guess it's working like the PSU's i gave you guys in the links. I found on alibaba aliexpress and dealextreme the PSU 220v for about $13 direct from factory but for 10 pièces ans $30 for one pièce on dx.com i took one to try. You guys think the original one is $100 or so ? All those PSU are chinese even with dual voltage...

"100 degress c is not good for your notebook and your performance will suffer. It may even cause damage over time to you notebook.

I have the same notebook and went through an RMA process with ASUS to fix the problem of over heating and poor game performance. I sent the computer to them and got it back without anything fixed and no info on if they even did anything to it.

So I took matters into my own hands and removed the bottom cover of the laptop. Sure enough I was getting better performance and cooler temps by 10 degrees c!

It is a design issue with the laptop and more info and solutions can be found on this forum:

"I have one too its just manufacturing error.

What you can do

1. Undevolt CPU with Intel XTU

2. Undervolt GPU with afterburner or asus tuning utility

3. Replace Thermal paste

4. Seal Third fan in pc to get better airflow

5.Drill Holes in bottom of pc

And best one is just to ask for refund if its not late. :D"

Hello! I had the same problem but you can actually use the 360 cable that goes from the wall into the powerbrick because it's the same cable.

"Hi Sydney,

Generally when using a laptop, you would want to avoid the bottom of the laptop from touching any material like a blanket or like your lap or anything that would stop air from going through the fans.

The ventilation could be blocked, which is bad, the air circulation is very important for cooling the internal hardware.

The laptop sucks fresh cool air and the hot air blows out. If there is a soft cushion (bed) or other material (not including rigid material) it blocks the vents which results in high temperature of the hardware of the laptop, this can make the computer 60 degree celsius and higher.

Higher temperatures can damage the internal hardware and decrease its battery life permanently, so try not to over work it :)"
