My electric golf cart will not go uphill and losses power quickly.

My electric golf cart will not go uphill and losses power quickly.

When golf cart gets just slightly below a full charge it will not go uphill. It will go on flat land. Battery voltage was a little low but batteries still tested good.

@satterfield you want to go ahead and load test the batteries to see their real condition. Your batteries may have the proper voltage and may not hold a charge under load. Even one bad battery can affect the performance of your cart. You should also check the voltage drop while driving uphill. Get some alligator clip test leads and connect those between positive and negative connection your cart and your meter and let us know what voltage drop you experience while you drive. For anything else we need to know what make model and year your cart is to determine if this is a controller issue etc.

In order to go up hill it uses a lot more battery then regular and all these reasons just point me to say that you should replace your battery.

My batteries are at 44 volts my battery gauge shows about 3/4 and the cart starts moving and then dies.
