Nexus 5 Low Volume Speaker Issue

Nexus 5 Low Volume Speaker Issue

I wonder if you have an opinion about the speaker issue and the XDA mod with the Nexus 5? One of the features you take for granted in a phone is its sound quality. Everybody oohs and aahs about screen size and processor speed, but a seemingly insignificant and overlooked component, such as a speaker, can ruin a device. Do you think a software update can fix this, or should I consider the XDA mod. It looks simple enough.

"Hi guys check out my free App made specifically for the nexus 5.

The Nexus 5 Real Volume Booster will create a custom mixer_paths.xml file for you, which will allow you to increase the default maximums for headphone and speaker volume.

Note: (You need a custom recovery in order to install the file)

The free version has a 4.3 rating on Google Play with over 7000 installs

The free version has all the same features as the pro. The PRO has no ads and you help support my work.

"Please be advised that the release of Android v5.0 (Lollipop) improved the Volume and clarity of the Nexus 5, somewhat. However, there is a more powerful improvement available, just follow the link (http://www.androidrootz.com/2013/12/volu...). For this to work, you will require Root Access and an Unlocked Bootloader.

When you test drive this with a good Headphone, it will BLOW your MIND, and your ear as well.

"Slightly off subject but useful

With the new lollipop update i have seen alot of people having ringer volume issues so i hope i can help as my Moto g 2nd Gen had the same problem and it's running ok for now......

You are going to need to plug your phone into a computer and on AUTO PLAY click ""OPEN FOLDER TO VIEW FILES"".

1) Go to Media folder > Audio > Ringtones

2) Copy all ringtones and go back 3 tabs to the main storage page of your phone

3) Open Ringtones folder and paste your ringtones

4) Close the window, unplug your phone and cross your fingers it has solved your problem.

Worked for me so i hope this helps others.

Good luck"
